Publicus is building the data and intelligence layer for government procurement. We support both sides of the market: helping businesses find and win government contracts, and helping governments save money, prevent fraud, and buy Canadian. Our goal is to take this marketplace global. We want to fundamentally transform government technology and empower governments to deliver quality digital goods and services. We are growing 80% month over month and are a part of Innovative Solutions Canada. This is real, and it's moving fast and building in a world where software is increasingly written with AI. The differentiator is no longer “can you code?” it’s: can you identify problems, deliver outcomes, verify them, and keep them working in production. The RoleYou will be our founding builder, working directly with the founders to solve problems across the entire business. This is not a customer-facing role. You are building the systems, agents, and infrastructure that power everything from the product itself to go-to-market tooling. One week you might build an automated outbound pipeline. The next, a procurement data enrichment system. The week after, a research agent that pulls intelligence from contract notices across the globe. You will manage agents to write code. You will identify problems nobody asked you to solve and then solve them.



Traditionally, this would be a founding engineer role.
