The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in conjunction with the Town of Minnedosa are seeking applications for the permanent full-time position of Municipal RCMP Clerk at the Minnedosa Detachment. This position will consist of 35 hours per week. The successful applicant will also be subject to and must pass an involved security screening and back ground investigation consistent with security clearance procedures at the level of Top Secret Level III.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate in their application that they meet the following criteria and reside within the area of selection:
Ø Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Ø Proficiency in transcription of taped statements and correspondence
Ø Experience in interpreting and applying Acts, Regulations and Directives
Ø Experience working in a qualified office providing administrative support services
Ø Possess the ability to deal effectively with the public over the telephone and/or in person;
Ø Possess excellent organizational skills demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy and being able to meet deadlines;




Ø Be highly motivated with the ability to set your own work priorities while working in a team environment;
Ø Possess the ability to handle sensitive material in a confidential and professional manner;
The following would be additional assets however training can be provided for the successful candidate:
Ø Maintains and operates police database systems – Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC), Police Reporting & Occurrence System (PROS), Police Information Retrieval System (PIRS), Systems Application & Products (TEAM).
Ø Knowledge of generating electronic statistical data from a database
Ø Knowledge in researching and developing official documents and reports.
This is a Level II Administration position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications based on OE987 Collective Agreement.
