About the Role
We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery to join our team at our Ancaster bakery. As an Operator 1, you will be accountable for supporting essential production tasks across packaging, material handling, boiler operations, and tote management. Your work ensures efficient workflow, protected operations, and consistent food‑quality standards throughout the bakery.

Hourly Rate: $24.29
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
Support production workflow by executing packaging, material handling, boiler, and tote‑management tasks
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas in alignment with GMPs and food‑safety standards
Assist machine operators and support continuous line efficiency across assigned areas
Operate assigned equipment safely and perform routine checks to maintain product quality
Accurately complete required production documentation and communicate effectively with Leads and Supervisors
Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and readiness to assist in multiple production tasks
Respond quickly to equipment or process issues and elevate concerns as needed
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Good oral and written English communication skills
Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and overtime as needed
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Dependable, punctual, and adaptable in fast‑paced environments
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Ability to pass a clear criminal background check (or has received a pardon)
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
Mechanical aptitude and ability to make minor equipment adjustments
Previous experience in a food‑manufacturing production environment
Basic computer skills
Experience operating material‑handling equipment (training provided)
