Join Hudbay Minerals as a Pit Utility at the Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This role involves managing high-voltage power cables and supporting mining operations on a 7/7 shift.

As a Pit Utility, you will report to the Mine Operations Supervisor and play a crucial role in maintaining safety and efficacy in the mining process. This position requires an eye for detail to coordinate optimal cable layouts and ensure compliance with best practices. You will also assist with various integral tasks that maintain operational efficiency and safety standards at the mine.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and support high-voltage power cables and equipment
• Plan cable layouts for drill patterns in collaboration with supervisors




• Execute safe shovel and drill moves according to SOPs
• Maintain cleanliness and order of pit equipment and cables
• Assist Pit Labourer tasks as required

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with manual labor or heavy equipment
• Familiarity with high-voltage cables is a plus
• Valid Class 5/7N driver’s license
• Strong communication and mechanical aptitude
