We are looking for an experience Class 1 driver for an opportunity with our client located in Prince George, BC.
Ideally someone with skills driving Super B's, Flat Decks, Rolls offs, etc. Also a candidate with loading/offloading experience, basic mechanical knowledge, and experience with electronic logging of hours/km driven is an asset.
The successful candidate must have experience driving standard/manual and automatic transmission trucks, and a standard/manual Class 1 license would be ideal.
Duties & Responsibilities Performs pre/post-trip inspections on the vehicle assigned to drive.
Carries out general safety practices of a commercial driver.
Follows guidelines for secure load securement.
Communicates with customers in a professional manner.
Carries out instructions from Dispatch in a timely manner.
Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service-related issues to Manager or Dispatch.
Positions and/or returns container on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids and doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license.
Clean drivers abstract.




Preferably 3-4 years’ experience operating a heavy commercial truck.
Experience driving both standard/manual and automatic transmission trucks.
Experience with roll-offs, body jobs and dump trucks preferred.
Experience hauling B-trains, but not a requirement.
Experience with self-loading material handles or Hiab is a definite asset.
Flexibility with work shifts and ability to travel occasionally.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Work Environment Drive an enclosed truck on a daily basis.
Work outdoors while loading and unloading goods. Work indoors while driving or filling out paperwork. Indoor temperatures may not be controlled.
Are often exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel or exhaust.
Wear protective or safety attire on a weekly basis.
Sometimes are exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.
May have to get into cramped positions to reach workspaces, such as the back of a truck.
Details $33-35/hr pay range
Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm
