Support groundbreaking dementia research as a Junior Research Assistant within the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Engage in ethics applications, data collection, and event planning in a full time role for one year.
As part of the dementia research team, you will report to the Research Manager and contribute to critical literature reviews and data analysis. Your focus will include ethics applications, supporting community engagement, and assisting in drafting various research documents. You will also play a pivotal role in event planning for the research team and managing communications with attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support ethics applications and participant recruitment materials
• Conduct literature reviews and assist in data collection
• Help with qualitative analysis and transcription tasks
• Coordinate logistics for team-hosted events
• Prepare post-event reports and managing expenses
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in health-related field
• Knowledge of university research ethics procedures
• Experience with qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo)
• Familiarity with Covidence for systematic reviews
• Engagement experience with Indigenous communities preferred
