Support housing stability as a Full-Time Landlord Liaison with SLCS on a 6-month contract. Collaborate with landlords and tenants while addressing conflicts and rights effectively.
In this role, you will mediate landlord-tenant relationships, particularly for at-risk youth, adults, and families. Your responsibilities include educating landlords on housing issues to mitigate risks of homelessness and ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancy Act. Cooperation with other team members is crucial to maintain safety and support services efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mediate landlord-tenant conflicts and establish understanding
• Perform unit inspections and assess repairs needed
• Help verify rent payments and support landlord communication
• Collect and maintain housing-related statistical data
• Promote education on diverse communities for landlords
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with diverse populations
• Solid knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Valid G Class Driver’s License required
• Intermediate First Aid/CPR certification needed
