Join the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department as a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Instructor at Barnet Beach. Deliver high-quality, safety-focused instruction for all ages while enjoying flexible schedule here.
This casual contract position involves managing participants, preparing engaging programs, and ensuring safety standards during outdoor paddleboarding lessons. You will operate in a vibrant environment, helping youth and adults develop their skills on the water throughout the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver SUP instruction in accordance with safety policies
• Manage participant groups of varying ages and skill levels
• Prepare lesson plans and program materials for classes
• Complete attendance tracking and incident reporting
• Maintain safety standards while leading activities
Requirements:
• Minimum one year experience in outdoor recreation instruction
• Paddle Canada Instructor Course or equivalent certification
• Basic Wilderness First Aid with CPR Level C or higher
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license preferred
• Post-secondary education or experience in recreation valued
