Make a difference in Powell River as the Stopping the Violence Outreach Coordinator. This part-time role offers flexible schedule to support women in crisis with community resources and education.
The role, based in the qathet Regional District, requires experience in community development and women's anti-violence initiatives. You will provide essential support services pre and post Grace House and advocate for client needs. Your background in human services and adult education will enhance your effectiveness in this vital position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support for clients accessing Grace House
• Assess individual needs for community living safely
• Build partnerships within the community for collaborative care
• Assist clients in accessing crucial community resources
• Facilitate educational groups and safety initiatives
Requirements:
• Diploma in social services; bachelor's preferred
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience
• Training in adult education or Transition House Work
• Valid BC Driver’s License and Criminal Record Check
• Certificates in CPR and First Aid required
