Squamish CAN is seeking enthusiastic educators for their school garden initiative. The position requires a passion for outdoor education and the ability to create age-appropriate lessons for young learners. Educators will maintain the garden’s health and cleanliness while integrating garden activities into broader classroom curricula. Support and training in food growing knowledge are provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan engaging garden lessons for students aged 5-13
• Maintain the school garden, including planting and upkeep
• Ensure a clean and safe gardening setting
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate gardening with curriculum
• Inspire curiosity and stewardship towards food and nature
Requirements:
• Passion for outdoor education and working with children
