This position will make a difference by meeting the needs of our clients, funders, and regulators. in-service training and evaluationEnsures all appropriate daily documentation of resource staff and contractor's files and records are maintainedResponsibility for the daily financial and administrative aspects of the programsAssists the Senior Manager to prepare the budget and financial statementsProgramsEnsures that effective, rehabilitative and support programs are maintainedLiaises with Connective staff and external resources for residency referrals Screens all applicants for the Home Share programDevelops and utilizes volunteer programs and practicum studentsDevelops related program opportunities available to the individuals in the communityEnsures a Quality of Life Plan (intervention plan), which is based on all agreed goals and includes all steps or success measurement and timelines, is completed.CommunityMaintains effective working relationships with related community services, government/stakeholders and agenciesIs knowledgeable of related agencies for effective client referrals and support, especially those in their respective communitiesFacilitiesEnsures that the Home Shares fulfill all fire, health and safety regulationsEnsures that the Home Shares are maintained as a clean, pleasant and secure environmentOn CallBe available to all Home Share Providers and resource staff in case of emergencies; this may include carrying the pager or cell phone 24 hours a dayEnsures on-call coverage is arranged in their absenceOther DutiesManages Unionized EmployeesCoordination, Monitoring and Administration for the Home Share ProgramSupport Human Resource Functions – recruitment, training, and developmentEXPERIENCE AND SKILLSA bachelor's degree and/or professional designation, with a minimum of 5 years of applicable or relevant transferable past work experienceExtensive expertise in the Community Living, Mental Health and Criminal Justice SystemExtensive experience in management of the day-to-day aspects of community-based residential programs, including case planning,



behaviour modification techniques, psychosocial rehabilitative techniquesExtensive knowledge of Community Living and Mental Health programming and the guiding philosophies and influencing policies and politicsExperience in the housing and outreach programs for hard to house people.Excellent verbal and written communication skill in EnglishExperience in the areas of group process, individual counseling and crisis managementExtensive knowledge and experience in hiring, training and supervising staffAbility to motivate and organize contractors and/or a staff teamAdministrative experience and strong administrative skills REQUIREMENTSAbility to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records CheckAbility to successfully pass a reference checkCurrent First Aid Certificate (please refer to the Certificates accepted in B.C. - WorkSafeBC) Class 5 driver's licensePersonal transportation that is in good repair, insured for business up to $1,000,000 for liability, and which can be used to transport clientsCOMPENSATIONAnnual Salary will be between $65,900 to $82,400 and will be based on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for the organization's comprehensive benefits package. The salary range provided represents the total compensation plan for this position. Actual salary placement will be determined based on a variety of factors, including pay equity, market conditions, candidate experience, internal equity, and organizational priorities.
