Join IPG Photonics as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Kingston, Ontario, focusing on 3D modeling and quality assurance. Contribute to creative laser technology while gaining hands-on experience in a leading company.
This full-time, on-site internship runs from September 2026 to August 2027 and is designed for CEAB-accredited engineering students nearing graduation. You will collaborate with the Hardware Engineering department to create CAD models, assembly procedures, and quality control documents. Your work will directly impact the development of cutting-edge welding technology and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare 3D CAD models and assembly guides
• Produce manufacturing drawings for external suppliers
• Maintain updated bill of materials files
• Draft work instructions and quality control procedures
• Assist in root cause analysis of production defects
Requirements:
• Completed 3rd year in Engineering (B.Sc.E / B.Eng)
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
• Strong English communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel & Word
• Well-organized and able to work independently
