Overview:

Big White Ski Resort, or simply Big White, is a mountain resort located 56 km southeast of Kelowna in the Southern Interior of British Columbia. It is located on Big White Mountain, the highest summit in the Okanagan Highland, an upland area between the Monashee Mountains and the Okanagan Valley. As part of the Big White Housekeeping team , you are responsible for the daily coordination of ensuring that clean linens are supplied to the entire hotel. You will be working alongside, supervising and evaluating the work of staff and lines, to ensure we meet the accommodation standard. Among the responsibilities include storing,



washing, drying, pressing and folding, removing stains. This position requires solid multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Assist the Laundry Manager in the daily running of the department

Supports and assist in training initiatives for all current and new employees

Prepare work assignments

Inspect and maintain all laundry room equipment

Supervise laundry staff while they are performing their duties

Conduct daily morning meetings with laundry staff and daily organization of staff

Help with training of all laundry staff

Stocking and organizing linen shelves and chemical rooms

Understand how everything operates in guest laundry (washer, dryers, etc.)

Assist with laundry

Ensure the laundry area is clean and tidy at all times

Fulfilling tasks in a time sensitive manner

Follow all Health & Safety protocols and procedures

Assist guests with all questions and requests

All other duties as required

Details:

Fulltime, working up to 32-36 hrs. a week

Hourly wage $22.50 - $25.00

Staff accommodation onsite, for approved applicants

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Applicable Skills:

No education or experience required, we will train you on the job

Great communication and strong decision-making skills

Experience in training people

Ability to follow instruction

Detail orientated

100% guest service oriented, have excellent people skills with a positive and upbeat personality

Adaptable to change and be able to work at multiple priorities

Eager and focused to exceed guest expectations.
