In this full-time position, you will work on the Thrive project, helping individuals with special educational needs thrive through meaningful activities and education. You will engage learners in discussions about their preferences, organize community trips, and assist in skill development for independent living. A background in social care or education with SEND experience is preferred to foster a nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tailor activities according to individuals' needs and preferences
• Organize local community trips with accessibility in mind
• Encourage learners to participate in various activities
• Lead sessions to prepare learners for adulthood
• Maintain daily records of learners' achievements
Requirements:
• Experience in Learning Support or with SEND individuals
• Communicate effectively with learners and colleagues
• Ability to motivate and encourage participation
• Understand safeguarding principles and person-centred approaches
• Willingness to perform personal care when needed
