Join the Southern Health-Santé Sud team as a Health Care Aide in Portage la Prairie. This in-person role focuses on providing person-centered care and assisting residents with daily living activities.

As a temporary Health Care Aide at Douglas Campbell Lodge, you'll work closely under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will involve supporting residents in daily living, adhering to established healthcare standards and practices. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to deliver quality care within a culturally diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Support effective communication with patients and families




• Engage in continuous education and competency maintenance
• Prioritize and organize workload effectively
• Observe and report on resident progress accurately

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare preferred
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Robust communication skills in English
• Basic knowledge of privacy legislation and workplace safety
