Miki’s Breakfast & Sushi is looking for an experienced Cook to join the team.

Position : Cook (Permanent)

Employer : Mikischoice Enterprises Ltd. o/a Miki’s Breakfast & Sushi

Working Address : 1319 Shoppers Row, Campbell River, BC, V9W 2C9, Canada

Wage : $25.00-35.00/hr (to be negotiated)

Overtime : 1.5x regular wage after 8 hrs/day and after 40 hrs/week

Working Hours : 30-40 hours/week (full time)

Benefits : 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation fee

Job Duties :

Determine the size of food portions and costs

Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food





Order supplies and equipment

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Clean kitchen and work areas

Recruit and hire staff

Manage kitchen operations

Qualifications :

Completion of secondary school is required.

Several years (3-5 years) of commercial cooking experience are required, or completion of a 3‑year apprenticeship program for cooks, or completion of college or other program in cooking.

Ability to communicate in English is required.
