Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
Order stock and record incoming stock
Keep stock clean and in order
Price items using stamps or stickers according to price list
Perform general cleaning duties (sweeping and mopping floors)
Operate cash register
Order picking
Provide customer service
Support for Youths
On‑the‑job training tailored to youth
Mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth
Awareness training for employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
Work Environment & Setting
Location: First Nations settlements, rural and remote area
Supermarket/grocery store
Relocation may be required; no fly‑in/fly‑out or rotational arrangements
Work must be completed at the physical location; no remote option
Personal Suitability
Interpersonal awareness – serve an Indigenous community; must demonstrate cultural awareness, respect, and the ability to work effectively in a community‑focused environment
Qualifications
No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience in grocery retail is an asset
Compensation & Benefits
Wage: $18.55 per hour
