Department: Mountain Operations

Reports to: Mountain Operations Duty Manager

Role Status: Full Time – Seasonal - Hourly

Job Summary
The Peak Office Administrator and Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for running the communication hub of the mountain. This position maintains a strong flow of communication throughout all areas of the mountain, and has a strong attention to detail, while working independently. This position also includes supervising the team of Dispatchers, maintaining office systems and services, organizing office operations and procedures, and providing administrative support to management.

Essential Job Functions

Interdepartmental correspondence, general office administration, uploading invoices, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, processing expense forms.

Providing assistance with bookkeeping activities and keeping databases updated

Creating processes, improving office services, and implementing communication procedures.





Administrative assistance to the Mountain Operations and Mountain Maintenance Departments.

Payroll, Hiring and training of the Dispatch Team

Ensuring inter-departmental communications are relayed in a timely and efficient manner

Managing a multi-line switchboard and VHF radios

Coordinating communication and dispatching the proper resources in emergency situations

Online management of 1Risk platform

Collecting and reporting weather data for internal use such as daily mountain reports and external use including Environment Canada, website updates and various media outlets in a timely fashion

Recording and reporting daily operations including but not limited to; emergency response, operational changes, transport requests, missing persons and maintenance issues.

Coordinating, logging, and tracking the transport of goods and patients around the mountain

Customer relations with guests that frequent the office.

Assisting managers with various office tasks and delegating duties to operations staff

Maintaining a clean work environment, assisting with cleaning of staff spaces

Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibility
Provides direct supervision to our Dispatch team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint and Excel

Knowledge of 1Risk systems preferred.

Knowledge of mountain operations, geography of mountain, and facilities of the mountain preferred

Previous multi line switchboard phone & VHF radio experience an asset





Must possess outstanding communication and organizational skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is primarily located inside, but does require traveling through winter conditions. Dispatcher is required to work early mornings and late nights.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$22.66/hour to $26.50/hour
