Our Kemptville shop is looking for a reliable, hard-working, and detail-oriented Shop Finisher, Sander & Furniture Packer to join our production team. Job Summary:This hybrid role is critical to our factory workflow. You will handle the fine hand-sanding required between finish coats to achieve our signature glass-smooth surface, and you will own the final inspection, foam wrapping, and flat-pack packaging of our fully cured furniture kits before they ship to global customers.

Core Responsibilities:

- Precision Sanding: Perform highly meticulous fine hand-sanding on partially finished hardwood slats, arms, and leg components between coating phases.
- Final Quality Inspection: Visually and physically inspect cured wood components for any runs, sags, or finish defects prior to packaging.




- Premium Flat-Pack Packaging: Carefully wrap finished components in specialized protective foam, line heavy-duty shipping boxes, and pack completed component kits securely to ensure zero scratching or transit damage.
- Shop Organization: Maintain a clean, swept, and completely dust-isolated sanding and staging area to protect the integrity of the active spray booth zone.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a woodworking shop, cabinetry, construction, or automated manufacturing workplace is preferred but we are willing to train the right work ethic.
- The "Detail Eye": Strong attention to detail and a high tactile awareness—you can easily feel a microscopic wood defect by touch.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods and safely lift, handle, and pack heavy hardwood components up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the day.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and comfortable following a structured, daily rolling batch schedule.
- Language: Proficient in English (spoken and written).
