Title: Workforce Driver

Department : Líl̓wat Construction Enterprises

Status: Casual Term(to 30 Oct 2026)

Pay Grid: Skilled

Reporting to: Mines & Services Manager

Summary of Duties:
The Workforce Driver provides safe and reliable transportation for workers while serving as a trusted and consistent workforce support. Through regular interaction with workers, the Workforce Driver promotes workplace expectations, identifies concerns early, and connects individuals with appropriate supports and resources.

Working in a respectful, culturally aware, and trauma-informed manner, the role supports workforce participation and success, particularly for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, by helping remove barriers to sustained employment and encouraging positive work habits.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

Transport workers safely to and from job sites, maintaining a consistent and respectful environment

Set the tone for the workday during morning transport and arrival, reinforcing expectations and readiness for work

Support end-of-day return, helping close out the day in a calm and consistent way and identifying any emerging concerns





Act as a visible and accessible point of contact for workers at the beginning and end of each shift

Support workers through informal check-ins and early identification of issues affecting attendance, readiness, or conduct

Connect workers to appropriate supports where needed

Identify patterns or recurring issues and elevate to leadership

Perform other related duties as requested

Experience and Attributes:

Connection to Lil’wat community, values, and ways of working (preferred or supported)

Able to build trust through consistent, direct, day-to-day interaction

Ability to remain calm and steady intense or challenging situations

Comfortable working in construction or active outdoor environments

Reliable and able to maintain consistency across split shifts

Physically able to meet the demands of driving

Valid Class 5 driver's licence required. Class 4 licence an asset; must be willing and eligible to obtain if required. Satisfactory driver's abstract required.

Psychological First Aid or Trauma-Informed Intervention training an asset
