The Township of Billings is accepting applications for the permanent full-time position of Public Works Operator.

The ideal Public Works Operator will possess extensive knowledge of equipment, maintenance of roads and facilities, positive organizational skills, a strong work ethic and communications skills, a valid drivers licence (minimum class DZ, AZ preferred) and the ability to operate all township equipment. A working knowledge of any of the following: carpentry, welding, metal working, plumbing, electrical, automotive maintenance and repair, small engine maintenance and repair, hydraulics, concrete, etc are considered applicant assets.

Salary is based on a 40 hour work week, some overtime and callouts during evenings and weekends are required as part of the position. The ideal candidate must be able to attend the municipal garage within 30 minutes of being called in. Extended health and dental plan available after probationary period. Generous annual PPE allowance.
