This full-time role supports individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in East End Communities. Using trauma-informed and culturally protected methods, you will provide empathetic, relationship-based support. Your background will empower you to engage effectively with clients who may have barriers to traditional services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed support to individuals in need
• Facilitate clients' connections to community resources
• Assist with mental health and addiction challenges
• Operate the mobile outreach unit efficiently
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients
Requirements:
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use issues
• Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
