Job Title: Wildlife Control Service Technician
Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Kingston, Belleville, Quinte Area & Surrounding Areas
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional Hours: Weekend work may be available, but is not mandatory

The Wildlife Control Service Technician will provide pest and wildlife control services for residential and commercial customers throughout the Kingston, Belleville, Quinte, and surrounding service areas. This role involves inspecting customer sites, identifying wildlife or pest concerns, completing service work, educating customers, and supporting prevention and exclusion solutions.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, comfortable working with customers, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. The position involves travel throughout the service area, including locations up to approximately 2 hours east, west, and north of the main service region.

Initial training will be provided, and new technicians will train alongside experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with customers

Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify wildlife, pest, sanitation, or structural concerns

Educate customers on best practices to help identify, prevent, and resolve pest or wildlife issues

Complete wildlife and pest control services using Integrated Pest Management practices

Handle common wildlife control concerns,



including bird control and other services offered by the company

Perform exclusion, prevention, inspection, and service-related tasks as required

Work in attics, on roofs, and in other areas of residential and commercial properties as required

Work at heights and use ladders, tools, equipment, and PPE safely

Use technology to document, manage, and track pest, wildlife, structural, and sanitation concerns

Manage daily route schedules, including established routes and one-time service calls

Work with the Office Administrator to schedule clients within expected timeframes

Maintain flexibility to adjust daily schedules based on customer needs and service priorities

Support sales duties, including new client acquisition and product sales

Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and industry practices

Collect payments from customers using approved payment methods

Maintain potential customer information and service records as required

Ensure proper care and maintenance of company equipment, tools, service materials, and vehicle if provided

Assist other technicians with larger projects as required





Participate in emergency response rotation if requiredTravel as needed throughout the assigned service area

Follow company health and safety procedures, environmental regulations, and animal care standards

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Valid driver's license required

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Comfortable working at heights, on roofs, in attics, and in residential or commercial work environments

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and service equipment safely and effectively

Strong customer service and communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage daily priorities

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace with changing customer needs

Knowledge of construction, building structures, repairs, or property maintenance considered an asset li>

Previous trade experience considered an asset

Previous pest control or wildlife control experience considered an asset, but training will be provided

Ability to obtain Structural Exterminator Licence through the Ministry of the Environment, with training provided

Additional pest control licences considered an asset
