In the role of Provincial Justice Coordinator, you will operate within the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, leading projects that aim to enhance the experience of Métis individuals in the legal sector. You’ll coordinate various support services, facilitate education on rights, and maintain strict confidentiality in managing sensitive case information. Your position will help bridge gaps in understanding and access to legal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate initiatives promoting Métis access to justice
• Nurture and sustain collaborations with legal and community partners
• Provide direct,
culturally sensitive support to individuals
• Manage and document case files with precision
• Undertake research to align with organizational goals
Requirements:
• Related diploma with 5 years in relevant fields
• Experience with Indigenous communities and trauma-informed methods
• Effective communication regarding sensitive topics
• Familiarity with the justice system's complexities
• Class 5 driver’s license required for travel
