Sun West School Division is seeking reliable, safety‑oriented applicants for a School Bus Driver position for Kindersley Route 04 (Coleville and area to Kindersley Schools).

This is a permanent position, starting on or before September 1, 2026. The ideal candidate is responsible, patient, and committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a school bus along designated routes and schedules
- Pick up and drop off students at assigned stops
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and school transportation regulations
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus
- Assist students with boarding and exiting when required
- Report any delays, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly
- Keep accurate records of routes, incidents, and inspections




- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school staff

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid driver’s license with “S” endorsement
- Acceptable 10‑year driving abstract
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one
- Previous driving or school transportation experience is an asset
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations
- Basic computer and technology skills, including proficiency with email, mobile apps, and electronic reporting or scheduling systems
- Must have a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

Working Conditions

- Split shifts (morning and afternoon routes)
- Driving in various weather conditions
- Interaction with children of diverse ages and needs

Compensation & Benefits

Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the collective agreement of CUPE Local 4802. Base Rate: $61.71.
