Advance community health initiatives as the Coordinator for the Nanaimo Community Action Team with AVI Health & Community Services. This flexible role focuses on collaboration and harm reduction education.

The Nanaimo Community Action Team (CAT) requires a passionate Coordinator to support community engagement around substance use issues. You will liaise with peers, local stakeholders, and organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Your role will include planning events and activities to promote health, dignity, and well-being for those affected by HIV and substance use.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate Nanaimo CAT meetings and support participation
• Build relationships with community partners and leadership




• Facilitate trauma-informed and inclusive collaboration
• Manage and support community engagement events
• Assist with funding proposals and project documentation

Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant experience or education
• Experience in supporting community collaboration
• Robust written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of harm reduction and cultural safety
• Driver's license is highly recommended
