In this position, you will work under the guidance of the Supervisor, Primary Health Care and engage with patients while providing key reception and clerical services. The role includes handling patient inquiries, data entry, and assisting health care professionals in various procedures. Your contributions will play an essential role in supporting the health journey of Indigenous populations, reflecting Fraser Health's commitment to respect, kindness, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide reception services and schedule patient visits
• Perform data entry and maintain patient records
• Assist in preparing examination rooms for treatments
• Liaise with healthcare staff and promote program awareness
• Participate in meetings and training as assigned
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and a Medical Office Assistant certificate
• One year relevant experience or equivalent training
• Typed proficiency at 40 wpm
• Knowledge of medical terminology and functions
• Able to perform physical duties of the role
