Job Description This is a full-time, permanent position, beginning in November 2026.
Food & Beverage Captain - Portobello The Food & Beverage Captain will be responsible for assisting the Management Team with the daily operation of Fairmont Chateau Whistler's outlets, maximizing service delivery in all areas of the department.
Starting Rate of Pay: $20.55 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months,
and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.25
Job Duties Include Ensure the overall smooth operation of F&B; outlets
Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way with expert knowledge of all ingredients
Consistently up-sell to exceed our guests’ expectations
Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit
Motivate, lead, coach and monitor the performance levels of all team members
Participate in the training of new team members
Provide support to the management team and F&B; Division as required
Qualifications 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant setting
Experience in a high-volume setting is required
Leadership skills accompanied by an ability to solve problems effectively
