Join Catholic Social Services as a part-time Community Disability Counsellor in Edmonton, Alberta. This role focuses on client-centered care and skill-building for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.

This part time position offers 25 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM. As a Community Disability Counsellor, you will utilize your skills in behavior management and effective communication to support individuals in engaging meaningfully with their community. Your work will help clients learn coping and self-regulation skills, enhancing their capacity for social interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement behavior support plans for clients
• Foster relationships through effective communication




• Assist in community engagement activities
• Promote safe, supportive home environments
• Provide personal care and management of behaviors of concern

Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in Human Services or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in relevant fields
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training upon hire
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
