Make a difference for Métis citizens in Meadow Lake as a full time Citizen Support Worker. You'll help individuals navigate essential community services for health, housing, and food security.
This permanent role under Ma Faamii Operations Supervisor focuses on assisting Métis citizens in overcoming barriers within multi-jurisdictional systems. With a post-secondary education in human services or equivalent experience, you will develop comprehensive inventories of available resources. Your role will involve building partnerships with community agencies and assisting those returning home after accessing services like Justice and Health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals in navigating housing and health systems
• Develop an inventory of provincial support services
• Build collaborative relationships with community agencies
• Provide navigation support for clients returning home
• Facilitate life skills training sessions
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in human services
• Experience in community or public services
• Effective communication skills, especially digitally
• Knowledge of Indigenous challenges and systems
• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
