GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Under the supervision and direction of the Regional Manager, Oncology Pharmacy Services, the Oncology Pharmacists integrate knowledge, skills and abilities in the provision of quality pharmacy services within the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.



The Oncology Pharmacists are responsible for the provision of patient-focused pharmaceutical care by optimizing medication therapy and ensuring safe, comprehensive and effective drug distribution services for patients of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. The Oncology Pharmacists are accountable to the organization for monitoring the adherence to treatment guidelines, compliance with policies and procedures, and commitment to the fiscal management of drug resources.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy.
Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program at a recognized Canadian tertiary care hospital OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is an asset.
Experience in an oncology setting is an asset.
Memberships: Licensed with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists.
Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in the practice of pharmacy consistent with recognized standards of practice.
Displays robust knowledge of the principles of pharmaceutical care.
