Join the Simcoe County District School Board as a full time Educational Assistant. Support students in various academic and social settings while ensuring their safety and well-being.

This permanent, full-time position focuses on assisting students to address their unique needs, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, creating an inclusive environment for students at different grade levels. Understanding behavior management techniques, assistive technology, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support in academics and social integration
• Assist with toileting, lifting, and mobility needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals




• Work with students in diverse classroom settings
• Implement behavior management techniques as needed

Requirements:
• Relevant university degree or two-year college diploma
• BMS training and strong interpersonal skills required
• Experience with students with ASD preferred
• Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication
• Ability to rotate through various classroom settings
