We are a rapidly growing, award‑winning franchise seeking experienced Deck Supervisors to lead shifts, supervise on‑deck employees, maintain the pool environment, and interact with students and parents/guardians.

Job Title
Deck Supervisor

Reports to
General Manager / Assistant General Manager / Pool Operations Manager

Summary
Manages assigned shift, supervises on‑deck staff, maintains pool safety and cleanliness, and supports GSS curriculum delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to instructors and deck teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Conduct daily pre‑shift meetings and prepare the deck for the shift.

Conduct periodic evaluations of instructors and deck teachers.

Interact with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.

Act as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure customer satisfaction.

Complete daily Deck Supervisor logs and monitor student attendance.

Coordinate tasks required to ensure the cleanliness of the pool facility.

Arrange for replacements for absent employees.

Maintain appropriate levels of chemicals for the pool setting.

Act as substitute swim instructor when necessary.





Suggest areas for improvement and implement corrective action through in‑services or other training.

Participate in training/in‑services as required.

Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employer.

Requirements

Ability to work with children.

Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Must pass background examinations (included with training).

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Two or more years as a swim instructor required.

Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or teacher preferred.

College degree preferred.

Certificates and Licenses

Lifeguard certification required.

CPR/AED certification required.

First Aid certification required.

Work Environment
The employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity; noise level is usually moderate.
