OverviewIndigoblue Law is a law firm supporting Indigoblue Mortgage Investment Corporation, Indigoblue Management Corporation, Indigoblue Capital Corporation, and related entities. The firm focuses on mortgage conveyancing, mortgage enforcement, and corporate and securities matters, acting on sophisticated private lending transactions across Ontario and Nova Scotia. The OpportunityIndigoblue Law is expanding into Nova Scotia and is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing team in HRM. ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage residential and commercial mortgage conveyancing files from start to finish Act for lender clients (including MIC and related entities) on mortgage advances and refinancing transactions Handle mortgage enforcement matters, including foreclosure, power of sale, and related proceedings under Nova Scotia law Prepare and review enforcement documentation and manage timelines and strategy Supervise and review conveyancing workflows to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency Work within Nova Scotia’s Land Registration system, including title review and document registration Provide legal support on corporate and commercial matters as required Manage competing priorities, deadlines, and a diverse caseload Deliver high-quality,



responsive service to internal stakeholders Qualifications & Experience2–4 years post-call experience in real estate law with a strong focus on mortgage conveyancing and/or enforcement Demonstrated experience handling mortgage enforcement matters (foreclosure experience preferred) Working knowledge of Nova Scotia civil procedure as it relates to mortgage enforcement Strong understanding of the mortgage closing process from beginning to end Familiarity with Nova Scotia’s Land Registration system (or willingness to obtain certification) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership of files Client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities LicensingMember in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society (required) Membership in another Canadian jurisdiction (including Ontario) considered an asset Competitive base salary:$80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus Dental care Extended health care Paid time off In office parking Application QuestionsDo you acknowledge that this role is fully in-person in HRM?
