The Avionics office in Marie-Curie, Montreal is Thales Group’s Centre of Competence for business and regional jet flight control systems is located at our Montreal – Marie Curie office. The team designs and integrates avionics suites, fly-by-wire flight control systems, SATCOM systems and other creative concepts for the regional and business aircraft markets.

Supply Manager Montreal, QC (Hybrid) Full-time Job Summary The role of the Tactical Purchasing Manager / Supply Manager is to manage short and medium-term purchases to meet the non-inventory operational needs of Thales Canada Avionics and Thales Digital Solutions entities. He/she alone exercises all the responsibilities of a Tactical Buyer within his/her scope. This role focuses on responsiveness and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy and rigor to organize one's work and to comply with legal rules and the Thales process.

Essential Functions Within his/her scope of activities, the Tactical Purchasing Manager must:

- Participate in the strategic development of the BL's tactical buyer role by participating in transformation and continuous improvement




- Integrate and participate in activities within the Noram and Group Purchasing community.
- Support upstream acquisition activities. Receive purchase requests and verify their compliance
- Process the transformation of a PR into a PO by validating the status and compliance of the selected supplier, the contract, the submission data (depending on the case, assist in the analysis of submissions, lead negotiations, collect export data) and take the required actions with the Category Managers / Category Buyers
- Create the PO: ensure data validity, attach all adequate documents, transmit the PO to the supplier
- Manage the PO: obtain acknowledgement of receipt, monitor delivery dates, perform PO cancellations. In case of modification, follow up with the requester, the supplier and keep the ERP updated.
- Manage billing disputes: Support finance for invoice settlement
- Monitor performance indicators within his/her scope of activities and propose any corrective actions
- Support the creation and updating of supplier data, in collaboration with the Process & Tools teams and the Category Managers / Category Buyers
- Ensure data integrity in the ERP and contribute to keeping the e-Acquisition group database updated

Additional specificities of this position:
- Support sales, program and purchasing teams for mission organization

Minimum Requirements Required knowledge and skills:

- Spoken and written language: Fluent French and English
- Knowledge in purchasing and supply: Understanding of purchasing processes, negotiation techniques, and supplier selection criteria.
- Supplier management: Ability to evaluate, select and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, deadlines and costs.
- Supply chain management skills: Notions of delivery times, and coordination with internal teams (engineering, purchasing, finance, etc.)
- Practice of analysis and problem-solving techniques (PDCA,...)
- Proficiency in IT tools: Use of software and data analysis tools ERP (SAP), Power BI, SharePoint, Excel
- Negotiation skills
- Communication skills: Very good interpersonal skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Organization and priority management: Be able to manage multiple requests and emergencies while respecting deadlines.
- Adaptability and responsiveness: Know how to adapt quickly to changes in internal needs.

The Tactical Purchasing Manager has relationships with:
- Shared services, such as Accounting, IS/IT or Human Resources
- Engineering
- Purchasing (Procurement Product, Bid & Project Managers (PPM), Category Managers/Buyers (CM/CB),



other Tactical Buyers (TB), Process & Tools)
- Trade Compliance, Compliance Officer and Legal
- Any other internal BL client

This position requires a good knowledge of English to interact, support and/or provide services to international clients, employees and/or partners as well as foreign government authorities who do not speak French.
