The Opportunity

The Supply Teacher will be responsible for providing classroom coverage on an as‑needed basis in the Junior School, assisting with supervision, co‑curriculars, and implementing the program within the classroom as assigned.

Key Accountabilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

- Create and contribute to a classroom environment that inspires and supports learning and personal growth through a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lens;
- Establish supportive rapport with students and colleagues;
- Motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a strong foundation for further education in accordance with each student's ability;
- Deliver lessons that allow for differentiated learning for all students, as assigned by the teacher;
- Use relevant technology to support instruction;
- Supervise students during lessons, at recess and lunch or as assigned;
- Demonstrate a flexible, responsive approach to teaching and learning.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution;
- Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent degree with Primary/Junior qualifications and a minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience;
- Specialty in French, Physical Education, and/or Music is an asset;
- Experience with and knowledge of IB is an asset;
- Proven ability to build a caring rapport with students;
- Knowledge of relevant technology; able to work effectively in an iPad and MacBook environment using required applications;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong commitment to duty of care;




- Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Accountable and responsible, is self‑motivated, and shows strong initiative;
- Maintains a positive attitude and a calm, professional demeanour;
