The Role Reporting to Supervisor, Medical Services, the Registered Veterinary Technologist
provides care directly related to the health of animals in-care. The position provides an
exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
High-Quality, High-Volume surgical preparation and
monitoring
Daily Medication administration and care of hospitalized patients
Laboratory and Diagnostic work-up including in-house
radiology, hematology/chemistry/fecal and urinalysis
Entry Examinations of all animals entering into care
Foster Support-Foster animal care and foster family support
Providing Education for clients/adopters on animal health and
care as required for animals being adopted that may require a higher level of
care post adoption or has needs specific to a health concern or surgery
performed
Assist veterinarians in care of animals requiring further care (diagnostic work ups, implementing veterinary treatment plans,



follow-up treatments)
Education & Requirements ABVMA license in good standing
15 credits of continuing education yearly

within a large team. You will have the ability to work well in stressful situations and adapt
accordingly.

The Registered Veterinary Technologist role is classified in Pay Band 4, with a pay range of $24.30–$32.16 per hour, commensurate with the successful candidate’s education and experience.

Hours of Work Standard hours: 40 hours per week; however, this position is expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill departmental responsibilities.
