Job Summary:
As a Seasonal Picker Truck Operator/Crane Truck Driver , you will work with our Dispatch team to deliver tanks safely to our residential and commercial customers. Your goal will be to provide a meaningful and essential service to our Avenir Energy customers in a safety-focused environment.
This is a fixed contract/Seasonal role with an expected end date in the Spring of 2027. The position includes full perks and is eligible for over-time.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload tanks, adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
Work with our dispatch teams to develop routes using your knowledge of geography, and the needs of our customers.
Deliver, pick-up and swap tanks for both our residential and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure Electronic and Daily Trips Log are up-to-date and submitted daily
Report any potential hazards to dispatch.
Ensure compliance with all company and government policies and regulations.
Maintain Up-to-date understanding of TDG, WHIMIS and required trainings
Actively participate in team meetings and discussions
Work schedule will vary - need willingness to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends
Other duties as required by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver’s license with airbrake endorsement/Class 3 License DZ
Crane Safe Certificate Level A is an asset
Oilfield and/or Propane experience is an asset
Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
Clean CVOR / personal driving record within Company standards.
Able to perform the physical demands of loading and unloading propane.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of propane considered an asset.
Ability to work various shifts.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
