Job Description : In accordance with the vision, mission and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the policies and procedures relating to Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Social Worker (BSW) is responsible for the provision of community based mental health counseling services to clients within the Mental Health Adult and/or Child and Youth Mental Health Programs. The position is also accountable for the provision of public education, mental health promotion, consultations and advocacy aimed at supporting individuals wishing to improve their quality of health. The Social Worker (BSW) reports to the Director for administrative supervision and to the Clinical Supervision for Adult and/or Child and Youth Mental Health Programs for clinical supervision.

Experience

Experience in mental health & addictions is an asset

Education

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Licenses

Valid Class 5 driver's license

Knowledge and understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Knowledge in community development

Ability to work in a cross cultural setting

Ability to work flexible hours

Knowledgeable in treatments across a wide clinical spectrum

Ability to provide public presentation and qualified training.

Knowledge of the Child and Family Service's Act

Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Knowledge in adult treatment and intervention techniques

Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity

Skilled in Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness practices

Broad clinical skills in group and individual interventions

Ability to work independently and with broader interdisciplinary teams
