Job Summary The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance and janitorial functions across Sasquatch Mountain Resort. This role oversees the upkeep, repair, cleanliness, and safety of all resort buildings, including guest facilities, lodges, maintenance areas, and staff accommodations.
Working as part of a small, collaborative leadership team , you'll supervise staff, coordinate maintenance projects, manage inventory and budgets, and help ensure the resort operates safely and efficiently year-round. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll work alongside your team while supporting operational planning and continuous improvement.

Job Specifications Wage: Based on qualifications and experience
Schedule: Full-time, year‑round, including weekends and holidays
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced (Supervisory)
Reports To: Outside Operations Manager

Job Responsibilities Lead the Facilities Maintenance and Janitorial teams while fostering a positive, safety‑first culture
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of all resort buildings, including lodges, staff accommodations, and operational facilities
Schedule and coordinate maintenance and janitorial staff to meet operational requirements
Perform and supervise preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects
Ensure all guest and staff areas remain clean, safe, functional, and welcoming
Manage departmental inventory, purchasing, and supply orders within budget
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using IMPAK
Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC, WHMIS, and all Sasquatch Mountain Resort safety policies
Maintain accessible Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and ensure proper handling of equipment and materials
Work closely with all departments to support daily resort operations and special projects
Participate in operational planning, meetings, and ongoing training
Maintain organized shops, storage areas, and maintenance spaces
Assist with snow removal, seasonal changeovers, and emergency response when required
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, building operations, or a related field
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Solid knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
Valid BC Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check
Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills
Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities
Experience managing schedules, budgets, inventory, and purchasing
Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
Experience using maintenance management software (IMPAK or similar) is considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be adaptable and able to respond to changing operational priorities
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments
Cross‑department support, including snow removal duties, is required of all positions at Sasquatch Mountain Resort.
