As the Director of Strategic Markets , you will lead the commercialization of Convertus’ most technically advanced and strategically important products, transforming innovative engineering capabilities into long-term contracted revenue streams. Working closely with the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership team, you will develop new markets, secure strategic partnerships, negotiate complex commercial agreements,
and create innovative go-to-market strategies for emerging products where established commercial pathways may not yet exist.
You will play a critical role in shaping Convertus’ long-term growth strategy, influencing capital allocation decisions, and helping build the policies, partnerships, and commercial structures that support the next generation of the circular economy. As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing Advanced Products team and evolve into a broader commercial leadership role within the organization.
Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like: Meeting with senior leadership to align on strategic growth priorities and communicate progress across key initiatives.
Leading procurement and negotiation of municipal and commercial intake contracts to secure long-term feedstock.
Overseeing the development pipeline for new facilities, collaborating with maintenance and operations teams on DBO projects.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
Leading the end-to-end M&A; process, including financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
Conducting financial modeling and market analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Supporting the commercial team in securing off-take agreements for products and end outputs.
Leading internal meetings with the Growth team to review performance metrics and pipeline updates.
Providing coaching and mentorship to team members, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
Traveling to project sites, partner meetings, or industry events to build relationships and advance strategic initiatives.
