Jim Pattison Hyundai Surrey is looking for a Sales Consultant who is motivated by results, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in delivering a great customer experience.
We’re looking for someone who is confident, competitive, professional, and comfortable using technology to connect with today’s customers. Schedule: Full-time, permanent position, approximately 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
A day in life... As a Sales Consultant , you will own the customer relationship from the first conversation through to the delivery of their new vehicle and beyond.
You will be responsible for creating opportunities, understanding what matters to each customer, presenting the right Hyundai products, and confidently guiding customers through the purchasing process.
Your day-to-day will include:
Connecting with showroom visitors, internet leads, phone inquiries, and previous customers
Developing your own customer pipeline through proactive prospecting and follow‑up
Identifying customer needs, preferences, and budget to recommend appropriate vehicles
Delivering engaging product presentations and test drives
Communicating vehicle features, technology, pricing, and available options
Working with Sales Managers and the Finance team to move deals through to completion
Negotiating professionally while maintaining a positive customer experience
Keeping your CRM activity current and following up consistently with prospects and customers
Building a referral and repeat‑business network
Staying current on Hyundai products,



incentives, technology, and competitive offerings
Ensuring customers receive a professional handover and delivery experience
Following up after the sale to build long‑term relationships and future business
What we look for... Previous automotive, customer service or retail sales experience is an asset
A solid desire to achieve and exceed sales targets
Confidence communicating with a wide range of customers
Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills
A proactive approach to prospecting and follow‑up
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Comfort working with CRM systems, digital tools, and online leads
Professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Eligibility to obtain a VSA license
