Job Description: The Assessor Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region through provision of safe quality care to clients. He/she is responsible for the provision of assessment, intervention, brief counseling, advice, information and referral about Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addictions Services to callers/clients from all age groups. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

2 years working experiencein community mental health and addictions services
Education
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Other Education and Training
Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
Training/experience in Addictions Counseling/Suicide Intervention is preferred

Ability to work with various electronic, IT and manual resources
Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
Must understand and be able to function in a call-centre environment
Strong assessment skills required to determine callers’ needs
Ability to multitask
Ability to apply evidence-based decision making
Ability to respond to clients' varying concerns and complex requests
Clinical knowledge in mental illness, addictions, interventions and treatments.
