DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to customer inquiries and process incoming calls, orders, and sales transactions.
Enter, manage, and close orders within the system.
Provide product information, pricing quotations, and follow up on quoted opportunities.
Contact existing customers to identify new product opportunities, promote additional solutions, and generate up-selling opportunities.
Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, opening new accounts, and expanding the customer base.
Build, develop, and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.
Ensure customer satisfaction with order processing, product availability, pricing, deliveries, and overall service.
Source materials and alternative products for customers when inventory is unavailable.
Maintain a strong knowledge of current products and continuously learn about new products and industry developments.
Support customers throughout the sales cycle, including after-sales service.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and service levels are maintained.
Support counter sales operations and process customer returns as required.
Travel within the region to service existing accounts and develop current business opportunities, as required.




Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Exceptional customer service
Ability to warm up and develop instant rapport with potential customers, develop long term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
Impeccable organizational skills with attention to detail
Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Minimum of two years' sales experience (counter sales, inside sales, or outside sales) required
Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing preferred
Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing contractors, and the public
Knowledge of the plumbing industry or a background in plumbing products would be considered an asset
Acceptable Driver's Abstract required
Valid driver's license is required
