Minimum Qualifications

- Education: Terminal degree (PP-OTD, PhD, EdD) from an accredited university with experience in curriculum development, research, and supervision of graduate projects required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Initial certification by NBCOT (The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) as an OTR (Registered Occupational Therapist) required. Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California required by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
- Teaching Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching in a doctoral level occupational therapy program. Curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, innovative pedagogical approaches. Evidence of scholarship record needed for promotion and rank.

Preferred Qualifications

- Active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- State or national leadership positions.
- Experience with ACOTE accreditation standards.
- 10 years’ experience teaching entry-level occupational therapy content at master or doctoral level.
- Experience mentoring graduate student research or capstone projects.




- Demonstrated experience with simulation or innovative teaching modalities.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
- Working with online learning management systems to further engage the student learning process desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as needed.
- Developing innovative curriculum and competency requirements.
- Minimum of four years of experience in clinical practice and experience in supervising Fieldwork Level II students.
- Knowledge of Sacramento medical community and established relationships with skilled memberships.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards such as WASC, ACOTE and other accreditation standards preferred.
- Experience with LMS, AI, VR/AR.
