Job Overview
As a Team Member, you will actively play a vital role in providing exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of Shelby's Shawarma in Sault Ste. Marie. Working with your leadership team to ensure that each shift operates successfully, smoothly and we have fun.
DUTIES
- Delivering the perfect guest experience
- Providing customers with a personalized experience and genuine interactions
- Preparing and serving high quality meals according to company standards and recipes
- Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts in a clean attire
- Handling cash flow of the restaurant
- Ensuring all standards are being met for hygiene, cleanliness, food quality and safety
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, including dining room, restroom & exterior
- Maintaining a high task completion rate in a fast-paced environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong time and task management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining quality and cleanliness standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Food Handling Certification (asset)
- First Aid Certification (asset)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to push products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 60 pound
