Job Title: Compliance Analyst I Location: Toronto, ON, Canada (M5V 1V6) (Hybrid)Duration: 12 Months with possible extensionPay Rate: CAD 36/hrJob OverviewThis is a temporary Compliance Analyst I role responsible for supporting regulatory compliance reviews across business processes. The analyst will evaluate existing processes, identify regulatory and operational risks, document findings, and recommend process improvements. The role requires strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, along with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders.While a banking compliance background is preferred, candidates with experience in trade compliance, export/import regulations, customs processes, or regulatory audits are highly encouraged to apply. Experience in audit, quality review, or process improvement (including Six Sigma or FMEA methodologies) is considered an asset.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed regulatory and compliance reviews of existing business processesDocument end-to-end business processes, workflows, and controls using process mapsIdentify compliance, regulatory, and operational risks within business processesDevelop, document, track,



and report remediation plans for identified risks and issuesPrepare explicit and concise management reports summarizing compliance findings and risk assessmentsProvide guidance to business partners on designing and strengthening controls for critical processesAssist in the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Identify opportunities for ongoing and targeted compliance monitoring and testingSupport continuous process improvement initiatives related to compliance effectivenessRequired QualificationsExperience in compliance, audit, risk management, or regulatory reviewStrong preference for trade compliance, import/export compliance, customs, or global trade operations experienceBanking compliance, banking audit, project management, or quality review experience is an advantageKnowledge of risk assessment methodologies (e.G., Six Sigma, FMEA) is a plusStrong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Visio
