The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for atemporarypart-time (approx. 0.50 FTE) Elementary Generalist (grade 3)teaching position starting August 27, 2026 until October 9, 2026 (with possibility of extension) at Cochrane Christian Academy.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Cochrane Christian AcademySchoolis located in the Town of Cochrane and serves students from grades K-8. Information regarding the school may be found at https://cca.rockyview.ab.ca/.





The Christian Program is an alternative program offered by RVS. The program focuses on integrating theChristian faith and a Biblical world-view in a public school setting. Cochrane Christian Academy is a communitywhere people and relationships matter, where identity and culture is clearly defined by their Christian faith, and where an excellent learning community is provided for their students.

Pre-employment Requirements

- Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certificationwith Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.
- New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter, please submit your final practicum report.
- External applicantsmust provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months

- The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment
