Responsibilities Administer and provide expert advice and support to NWMO users on technical software for NWMOs Site Characterization Data Management System (SCDMS) that integrates systems such as Seequents DAP Server technology, Seequents Metadata Editor, ac

Quires Borehole Data Management technology, and Kisters Wiski water resource management tool.

Review, evaluate, and quality assure data and products from both internal teams and external consultants to ensure compliance with NWMOs Quality Assurance Protocols.

Diagnosis and clean problematic data and work with internal staff and external consultants to ensure compatibility for SCDMS publication.

Interface with the NWMO IT function and vendor support teams to ensure system functionality, performance and usability, as well as on-going assurance of data asset security, integrity and availability to NWMO staff.

Act as the subject matter expert on DAP technology functionality.

Advise users on best practices and troubleshoot issues.

Create and review metadata and provide user support for the NWMOs metadata editor tool (MDE).

Provide technical input into system design decisions, configuration changes, and enhancement planning activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external solution providers.

Coordinate and support externally delivered development work, including requirements clarification, testing, and validation of configured or custom-built solutions.

Perform other duties as required.

Primary contact and software owner for Seequent DAP Server.

Coordinate licensing and maintenance agreements and administer purchase orders.

Manage system improvements,



upgrades and data customizations.

Qualifications and Experience A 4-year bachelors degree majoring in science, geology, earth science, or Geographic Information System (GIS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS).

Over 6 years of Professional experience working with geoscientific and/or environmental monitoring data.

Experience in overseeing software system improvements, upgrades, and data customizations and in using and providing support to a variety of specialized GIS relational databases, applications and tools.

Experience participating in system implementation, enhancement, or migration initiatives involving structured data repositories, including familiarity with structured data models, metadata design, and configuration of enterprise data management platforms.

Ability to work in procedurally regulated IT setting Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated ability to multitask in a high-pace environment Must be proactive and able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form A ssets: Seequent DAP Server AcQuire experience WISKI water resource management tool experience Microsoft certification Experience with SQL Server performance tuning including: Query optimization, Index and statistics maintenance, troubleshooting I/O bottlenecks and long waits Experience working with Share

Point-based solutions or other enterprise content management platforms.

Experience supporting externally developed custom applications or coordinating with third-party software developers.
