With consistent foot traffic during the academic year and campus events, the college requires a well-maintained environment that supports safety, accessibility, and efficient day-to-day operations.Position: Part Time Security Guard Site: Huron CollegeSite Address: 1349 Western Road, London, ON N6G 1H3 Hours: Saturday hrs), Sunday hrs)Payrate: $18.54/hr Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly Posting Date: January 22nd, 2026Internal Closing Date: January 29th, 2026 External Closing Date: February 15th, Key responsibilities: Implement security measures to protect property, control access to sites and ensure client rules and regulations are followed Check In each student – confirm that they are in residence with ID Maintain confidentiality Maintain written reports Perform security checks and liaise with students, customers and the public Ensure site safety and emergency procedures are followed and maintain written reports Enforce compliance to company policies and procedures First Aid – be prepared to administer when required Maintaining a positive, productive work environment Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Prerequisites: Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred Must possess excellent customer service skills Superior written and verbal communication skills Watch for and report irregularities by completing incident reports such as security breaches, facility safety hazards,



and emergency situations; contact emergencyservices such as police, fire and ambulance personnel as required.
